✓ Family-owned, Huntington, WV Tri-State
✓ 7 in-house crews
✓ No subcontractors. Ever.
✓ $0 Deposit. You pay after the work is done.
Before you sign with anyone, ask one question.
Do you install your own roofs, or do you subcontract?
Over the next 72 hours, dozens of out-of-state storm chasers will land in Clendenin. They'll knock your door, they'll show you damage on their phone, they'll push you to sign on the spot, and they'll ask you for a deposit before any work even starts. What they won't tell you: most of them don't have a single roofing crew of their own. They sign you up, take your deposit, and then they call companies like us to actually install your roof.
We're cutting out the middleman — and we're not taking your money up front.
VJRC takes a $0 deposit. You pay nothing when you sign. Nothing when materials arrive. Nothing when the crew shows up. You write the first check after the final walkthrough, after you've inspected the work, after you're satisfied. We don't need your money to start the job. We get paid when you're happy.

The storm of record - May 20, 2026.
A severe thunderstorm cell tracked through Kanawha County on Wednesday afternoon, with the National Weather Service issuing a tornado warning for northwestern sections of the county. The cell dumped baseball-sized hail in Clendenin and surrounding areas, brought down trees on US-119 and SR-4, and knocked out power to more than 1,400 homes and businesses. At least one commercial roof has already failed.
If you live in Clendenin or anywhere along the storm track, your roof took impact. Baseball-sized hail leaves damage on virtually every asphalt shingle roof it lands on — but the damage is rarely visible from the ground. The leaks come months later, after the claim window has closed.
2.75" Hail diameter (baseball-sized)
Tornado Warning issued for northwestern Kanawha County
1,400+ Power outages reported
24 hrs Until out-of-state chasers arrive
Why a "looks fine from the driveway" inspection isn't enough.
01
Granule Loss
Hail strips the protective granules off asphalt shingles. Your roof looks fine from the driveway but is now exposed to UV and water. Lifespan drops by years.
02
Mat Bruising
Even when shingles don't visibly crack, the underlying fiberglass mat fractures on impact. These bruises turn into leaks 6–18 months later — well after your claim window has closed.
03
Soft Metal Denting
Gutters, vents, flashing, AC fins, and ridge caps dent on impact. These dents are the proof an adjuster needs to verify the storm hit your address.
04
Sealant Strip Failure
High winds during the storm break the adhesive seal between shingles. Loose shingles peel off in the next storm — and Clendenin has a week of heavy rain in the forecast.
The only way to know what your roof actually looks like is to put a trained eye on it.
That's what we're offering — free, no obligation, within 24 hours.
What Happens after you schedule.
Step 1 —
We inspect your roof.
One of our employees gets on your roof, photographs every slope, documents every hit, and gives you a written damage report. 30–45 minutes. Free.
Step 2 —
You decide your next move
If we find damage worth filing on, we'll explain what we found in plain English and you decide. If we find nothing, you walk away with peace of mind and zero cost. You're never under contract for the inspection.
Step 3 —
We meet your adjuster
When your carrier sends an adjuster out, we're on site with them. We walk every slope together, show them every hit and every soft metal dent. Adjusters in a hurry miss damage. We make sure nothing gets missed.
Step 4 —
Our crews install your roof
Once your scope is approved, the same company that came to your door schedules and installs the roof. No subs. No handoffs. Same crew, same warranty, start to finish. And you pay after the final walkthrough — never before. $0 deposit, no progress payments, no money out of your pocket until the work is done and you've signed off on it.

Decades of Combined Experience in Roofing
Caleb our project manager is very professional, enthusiastic about his job, polite and timely, always gets me updated, and he is willing to communicate on our behalf with insurance company which requires lots of responsibility and experience. He is always on site and on roof literally, making sure the damage details are aware to two independent adjusters this is very important when a insurance company adjustor often just takes a "general" inspection. The crew team (5 workers) impressed me by fixing/replacing the gutter under the roof, they came very soon and finish within an hour or so around 6:30 pm. About the gutter replace price, it's quite cheaper than quote from another company. AND they have several teams who will work from early morning to late evening. I am trusting them with another ongoing roof project. A team that I can rely on. A service that helps me gain insights of house maintenance.

Is the inspection really free?
Yes. No catch, no obligation, no upsell pressure. We do free inspections because most homeowners don't realize how much damage they actually have. If we find nothing worth filing, you walk away. If we find something, you decide whether to file. Either way, no cost.
How fast can you actually get here?
Within 24 hours of you scheduling. Most Clendenin inspections this week will happen the same day you call.
What if my roof "looks fine"?
That's exactly the problem with hail damage — it almost always looks fine from the ground. Roofs that look untouched from the driveway can have 100+ impact points on a single slope. The only way to know is to physically look. That's why the inspection is free.
Will filing a claim raise my insurance?
Storm damage claims are "act of God" claims and generally don't affect your individual premium the way an at-fault auto claim would. Carriers can raise rates regionally if there's enough storm damage in an area, but that happens whether you file or not. The right move is to file if you have legitimate damage — that's what your policy is for.
Do you require a deposit?
No. Zero deposit. You pay nothing when you sign the contract, nothing when materials are delivered, nothing while we're on the roof. You write the first check after the final walkthrough — after you've inspected the work and you're satisfied. We're a real, capitalized local company. We don't need your money to start the job, and we don't get paid until you're happy. If a contractor knocking on your door this week is asking for money up front, that's a question worth pressing them on.
I already had someone knock on my door — should I sign with them?
Ask them one question: "Do you have your own labor crews, or do you subcontract?" If they hesitate, or if they say "we have a network of installers," they sub. Most storm chasers will sign you up and then call companies like ours to do the work. You'll pay more, wait longer, and have less recourse if something goes wrong.
How long does the actual install take?
Most residential roofs are completed in one day with our crew sizes. Larger or more complex roofs (multiple slopes, steep pitches, accessory work) may take two days. We schedule installs within 1–2 weeks of claim approval, weather permitting.
What's your warranty?
Manufacturer warranty on materials (GAF Golden Pledge — up to 50 years on Timberline products) plus our free 5-year workmanship warranty. Because we install our own work, the workmanship warranty is backed by the same company that did the install — not a sub who may not exist in three years.
Stop wondering. Get a real look at your roof.
Free inspection. 24-hour response. $0 deposit, pay after the work is done. The company that knocks is the company that installs.
